Revit Add-in update now available – Revit module 2.15.3

Inter-CAD2026.01.07

The latest Revit Add-in is now available, launched together with the December 12, 2025, AXISVM update.

With the AXISVM update released on December 12, 2025, the latest version of the Revit Add-in has also become available. The most significant enhancement in Revit module version 2.15.3 is the complete overhaul of the cross-section assignment workflow applied during the export of beam and bar elements from Revit, making the process considerably more transparent and efficient.

Key new features of Revit module 2.15.3:

  1. Renewed user interface: The module has received a modernized user interface aligned with the familiar interaction logic of AXISVM.
  2. Resizable window: Instead of the previous fixed-size window, the interface is now freely resizable, ensuring comfortable use across different monitor sizes and resolutions.
  3. Clear cross-section assignment list: The list of cross-sections to be assigned provides a quick overview of the assignment method and its current status for each element.
  4. Display of Revit properties: Well-known Revit properties of the selected cross-section are displayed directly in the interface, supporting accurate and informed decision-making.

Automatic assignments during export: During the export process, the software performs automatic cross-section assignments wherever possible. This reduces the need for manual intervention, while all automatic assignments can be overridden by the user at any time.

  1. For Revit Structural Section families, automatic parametric assignment is available.
  2. For sections imported from AXISVM into Revit, automatic assignment is performed based on the AXISVM section library.

Completely renewed AXISVM section library interface

  1. Instead of the previously hard-to-navigate dropdown menus, section shape, table, and specific cross-section can now be selected using the familiar, structured AXISVM interface.
  2. Detailed information is available for the selected section, including geometric data, manufacturing process, manufacturer, and region.
  3. Several section tables that were previously unsupported are now available.

Detailed information and error feedback: The new version provides clear, user-supportive informational and error messages that help identify the required assignment steps and indicate when, for example, an automatic assignment is not possible and what additional actions are needed.

The goal of Revit module version 2.15.3 is to make the Revit–AXISVM connection even more efficient, transparent, and reliable, with particular focus on cross-section management for beam and bar elements.
