• Highlight elements under the mouse cursor
If this option is set element(s) under the mouse cursor become highlighted (both in wireframe and in rendered display mode). The highlight color can be customized by clicking on the square color sample.

• Export of AxisVM models to Revit – REV module
Models built in AxisVM can be saved to files with ARE extension. After installing the proper add-on in Revit, Revit will be able to import ARE files. Exported element types: trusses, beams, ribs, all kind of domains and supports. Installing AxisVM always installs this Revit add-on automatically (if the user has Revit installed on that computer), even if the user does not have the REV module.

Selection of thin / thick shapes from an icon bar.
Filtering by geographic region, width, height, cross-section area.
Define parametric shapes without entering the Cross-section Editor.
• Custom eccentricity steel ribs in concrete plate
Custom eccentricity steel ribs in concrete plate can be modeled as logical ribs.
Line supports attached to line elements or domain edges are handled as support members divided automatically during meshing. Tables, labels, tooltip info windows refer to these support members. Renumbering of nodal, line and surface supports is also possible.
Non-moving loads can be defined to appear in all moving load cases.
• Displaying average surface support forces
Method of calculation can be controlled in the Result display parameters dialog. Forces can be integrated over each domain separately or for all domains. Positive and negative regions can be integrated separately.
• Skew reinforcement on domains – RC1 module
Directions of a skew reinforcement on domains is defined by the angle α between the ξ axis and the local x direction and the angle β between η and ξ axes (β must be in the range of 45 to 135°).
Required amount of top and bottom reinforcement is calculated according to these directions as aξb, aξt, aηb, aηt. Cracking analysis can also take into account skew reinforcement.
• Calculation of the required reinforcement from limiting crack width – RC1 module
The program can be configured to calculate the required amount of reinforcement from the limiting crack width in SLS combinations.
• Checking stirrups of reinforced columns – RC2 module
Stirrups of rectangular and circular columns can be checked for shear and torsion. Spiral stirrups of circular columns are also supported.
• Detailed AutoMcr, AutoNcr calculation – SD1 module
Following the method of hand calculation AxisVM determined one Mcr critical moment and an Ncr critical normal force for each steel design member. The new method applied in Release 3 is more accurate as it calculates Mcr and Ncr for each cross-section along the design member.
• Definition of continuous lateral support for steel design members – SD1 module
Continuous lateral support can be defined when editing lateral supports of the steel design member. Continuous lateral supports are modeled by a series of point supports.
• Column base design – SC1 module
Design of column base connections according to EN 1993-1-8. Available cross-sections: I shapes, round shapes, rectangular boxes. The following parameters of elements and fasteners can be adjusted: base and wedge, stiffeners, anchorage, welds, foundation.
• Report template can adjust drawings to leave space for info windows
Report drawings are created fitting the drawing to the available space on the page. As a result, info windows could hide some parts of the model on the drawings.
If this option is activated the program eliminates the overlap by scaling down the drawing.
• Design calculations saved into reports remember the status of the Substitution switch
This switch controls if formulas also appear substituting the actual value of variables.
