1.  Optional new line support symbols

•   If Complex symbols is seected in Settings / Preferences / Graphic symbols / Line supports, an enhanced drawing will be displayed showing the trans-lational and rotational support components.

2.  Optional local system labeling

3.  Custom direction of gravitation

•   A custom direction can be set for the gravitation. If Save as default setting is checked the current value of gravitational acceleration will be set for new models.

8.  Automatic labeling of isolines, rounding interpolated values

•   If the result display mode is set to Isolines automatic isoline labeling can be activated by clicking on the Color legend window to get to the setup dialog and checking Isoline labels.
Label positions are determined to ensure the maximum possible readability.
If Round calculated values is checked and interval limits are interpolated between minimum and maximum (no custom values or step value has been introduced) interpolated values will be replaced with an equidistant series of rounded values.

9.  Reinforced concrete beam deflection calculation with effects of cracking

•   The RC2 reinforced concrete beam design module takes into account the effect of cracking in the deflection calculation.

10.  Guide to enter buckling coefficients for steel design

•   Additional buttons near the buckling coefficient edit field in the SD1 steel design parameter dialog allow selecting the coefficient by schemes.

11.  Nonlinear deflection of reinforced concrete shells

•   Earlier releases of AxisVM could perform nonlinear deflection calculation only for plates. Release 2 introduces nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete shell structures. (Nonlinear analysis / Use reinforcement in calculation).

12.  Column descriptions for printed tables

•   To help enigneers less acquainted with AxisVM to interpret the model parameters and results a description of table columns can be printed at the end of each table.

13.  Predefined report templates

•   Report template handling has been changed since the previous release. Templates are stored in a special folder and listed by their names as entered in the template editor. The redesigned report template dialog offers predefined report templates. These all rely on critical results assuming that the model contains proper load groups. If the model has steel or timber beam design results beam templates will automatically include efficiency diagrams and design result tables. Surface result diagrams always use automatically labeled isolines and include separate diagrams for critical minimum and critical maximum results. Predefined templates are listed with a gray background User-defined templates saved into the special folder appear with a white background.

14.  Position of table of contents

•   Position of table of contents can be selected: Settings / Preferences / Report / Position of table of contents. If Front page is selected, the table of contents starts just after the report title (like in previous releases). If Second page is selected, the table of contents is moved to the second page. If Third page is selected, the table of contents is moved to the third page (may be useful for double sided printing).
